Krum and carries the date 1889 beneath its title. The National Library of Norway identifies the cartographer as Nicolai Solner Krum (1840–1917). His plan places individual buildings and streets around the waterway running through the town, with bridges and waterfront outlines giving the image its distinctive shape.

A key on the left distinguishes building materials, including stone and wood. This practical detail makes the Flekkefjord map print especially interesting for anyone who enjoys exploring how a town was recorded in the nineteenth century. The original lettering, colour key and scale bars remain part of the reproduced image.

A Norwegian heritage gift with a local connection

For someone with family ties to Flekkefjord, the town name may already tell a story.
