These terms apply to consumer purchases from Hygge by Scandinavia. Mandatory rights under the law applicable to your purchase take precedence over these terms.
Orders and products
Before submitting an order, check the product, size, material, delivery address and total price. A purchase contract is formed when you complete the order and receive our order confirmation. Contact us promptly if anything is incorrect.
Product descriptions explain the materials, dimensions and any personalised options. Screens and lighting can affect how colours appear. This does not exclude your rights if the delivered product does not conform to its description. Standard products manufactured after ordering retain the ordinary withdrawal rights; an exception for genuine personalisation must be disclosed before purchase.
Prices and payment
Prices are displayed in the currency for the selected market. Applicable taxes, shipping and any other charges we collect are shown before you place your order. Any import charges payable separately must be disclosed before purchase. The payment methods offered at checkout apply.
Payments are handled through the payment providers offered at checkout. Where applicable law prohibits charging before dispatch, we will not capture payment before dispatch, except where a lawful exception applies and has been expressly agreed with you. A payment authorisation may temporarily reserve funds without capturing payment.
If we identify an error or cannot fulfil an order, we will contact you promptly. An accepted order cannot be cancelled merely at our discretion; any correction or cancellation must comply with applicable law.
Delivery
Delivery estimates, charges, tracking and delay procedures are set out in our shipping policy. We remain responsible for delivery and the risk of loss until you receive the goods, subject to the statutory exception for a carrier you appoint independently and which we did not offer.
You retain the remedies available under applicable law for late or missing delivery. US orders follow the FTC rules on shipping promises, delay consent and prompt refunds.
Withdrawal, returns and defects
Our refund policy explains the 14-day return offer, statutory withdrawal rights, return costs, refund timing and personalised-product exceptions. It includes an optional withdrawal form. A change-of-mind return procedure does not restrict your rights to remedies for faulty goods.
EU consumers have statutory conformity rights, normally for at least two years. Norwegian consumers have a two-year complaint period, or five years for goods intended to last substantially longer. US consumers retain applicable state warranty and consumer protection rights. Canadian consumers retain applicable provincial and territorial rights. Australian consumers retain their rights under the Australian Consumer Law. None of these rights is excluded by a sale price or by a product being made after ordering.
Complaints and disputes
Start by contacting info@hyggebyscandinavia.com so we can try to resolve your complaint.
For eligible complaints against a Danish business, you may use the Danish consumer complaints system administered by Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark. Its jurisdiction, price thresholds and other conditions apply. EU consumers can contact the European Consumer Centre in their country for help with a cross-border dispute. Norwegian consumers can seek help from Forbruker Europa.
These terms are governed by Danish law, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections in your country of habitual residence where applicable. Nothing in these terms restricts your right to bring a claim before a court available to you under applicable law. We do not require binding arbitration or a waiver of collective rights.
Use of the website and intellectual property
Use the website lawfully and do not interfere with its operation or misuse another person's information. Rights in our original brand assets, original text and website design belong to us or their respective rights holders. This does not create exclusive rights in underlying artworks that are in the public domain.
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including mandatory consumer remedies and liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Privacy and updates
Our privacy policy explains how we use personal information. Changes to these terms apply to future purchases and do not retrospectively change an existing purchase contract.
